Consultants delivering services and solutions in the sport, entertainment and cultural sectors

Scroll Down

DHW Collaborations is an alliance of independent consultants bringing together their skills, experience, shared values and a common desire to deliver services and solutions for clients in the sport, entertainment and cultural sectors.

The model allows us to be agile and responsive to client needs, while maintaining the ability to scale ‘up and out’ where required via established third party relationships with a ‘bench’ of subject matter experts.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, our experience is represented across the country and overseas, with entities focusing on Management Consulting (DHW Simpson Advisory); and Facility Planning (DHW Ludus Infrastructure). DHW Consulting is used for a multi-disciplinary approach or as a personal vehicle for founder, Dale Wood.

Sport Australia engaged DHW Collaborations to undertake detailed consultation relating to the potential development of a digital platform to house and analyse national community sport infrastructure information. They were able to work closely with Sport Australia to articulate a common vision for the initiative and their deep knowledge of the sector supported the design of an engagement strategy across the sporting system and layers of Government to ensure collective input and insights. DHW Collaborations produced an influential study that has set a solid platform to enable further design and prototyping.

DHW Simpson Advisory has been supporting Football Victoria over a number of initiatives since the middle of 2018. Dale and Mark are able to provide pragmatic, focused advice across a range of areas. Their strategic thinking has been valued by the executive and Board of Football Victoria.

Peter Filopoulos

Chief Executive Officer, Football Victoria

The PFA really got great value from working with DHW Simpson Advisory. The team was able to effectively facilitate our own thinking and was able to develop a structure around that, as well as providing their own insights into how to approach our challenges.

John Didulica

Chief Executive, Professional Footballers Australia

DHW Ludus Infrastructure supported the Eels with our contractual negotiations with the managers of Bankwest Stadium. Their understanding of the operations of major venues and the potential implications for hirers proved to be a valuable resource for the Club.

Jim Sarantinos

Director, Parramatta Eels Rugby League Club

The redevelopment of the State Basketball Centre will be significant in the growth and strength of the Deakin Melbourne Boomers.  We needed to ensure that we had the right expertise advising us on how to navigate this important and complex project involving multiple user groups and funding bodies.  DHW Ludus Infrastructure’s experience across numerous projects within sport and government has been invaluable and they have provided insightful guidance and advice through the first year of the project.  We look forward to working with them as the project unfolds over the next four years.

Tony Hallam

Chair, Deakin Melbourne Boomers WNBL Club

The team at DHW Ludus infrastructure provided the Carlton Football Club with strategic advice on engaging with government and worked with the Club on the complex process of defining a scope of works that would provided full integration of the women’s football program into the existing Club operations as well as delivering further  matchday enhancements, as part of a  Stage 2 redevelopment of Ikon Park.
